A Cake Smash Mini Session
Grace is ONE! One of the best things about being a newborn and baby photographer is watching them grow! I photographed Grace as a newborn, took some Christmas photos for her when she was almost six months, and then again for her first birthday! She is just the sweetest and beautiful little girl. I mean....those cheeks and pouty lips. So cute! And the pigtails are just too perfect.
With a milestone mini session, I usually photograph the baby (before the cake comes out) in one outfit with a few different setups. This way we can grab some shots of them before they get messy :)
My style is pretty minimalistic. I love to keep the focus on the baby, so I don't incorporate many prop. And I love the simple look of just a balloon garland. When clients book a cake smash photoshoot, I always ask them what colors they want to be used and then I'll put together a balloon garland with those colors. This mom wanted burgundy and gold. Grace's birthday theme was "One Sweet Peach", so I added in some peach balloons. I might be a little obsessed with that color combo!
