Iris and Parker Cake Smash
One year old sessions are so fun! I had two mini cake smashes within the same week, so I thought I'd blog about them together. And by doing so, you can see just how much I can get out of a 30min mini photoshoot!
With the mini cake smashes, we use one outfit (from my client closet) before the cake is brought out. This way, we can grab some shots of just baby before they get all messy! I try to get at least a few different setups with the baby....just sitting, in a prop, and lying down. Here are a few examples!

Now the fun begins.
When a client books a cake smash session, I always ask what colors they want for the balloon garland.
Iris' mom chose a cow print theme! And thank God for Hobby Lobby for having cow print balloons. I absolutely loved how it turned out and it was exactly what my client envisioned. And hats off to Walmart for that cute cow print cake!
Parker's didn't necessarily have a theme, but his mom sent me a photo of what his cake was going to look like and I based the balloon colors off that photo. The colors are so fun and worked perfectly with the cake she brought!
